Is there anything not to love about this 90sqm apartment in Melbourne?
Aside from being a big fan of the pale pink + gray combination, this place truly has it all! It was renovated to maximize natural light, to give more character to the formerly boring layout and to create better circulation between spaces.
I’m in absolute awe of the kitchen, the hidden cooking corner, the custom fridge door (the pink one next to the corridor) and the island: that’s my definition of kitchen perfection!
The palette of materials was chosen to compliment and soften the tones of the existing concrete floor and walls, adding warmth to space. Although very modest in scale it raises questions about an everyday domestic space we are all familiar with: the kitchen. It challenges our expectations, and it takes a risk– stepping out of the ordinary and trying something different. It throws normality to the wind, reconfiguring something that we all know so well into a new expression.
With its Monroe Pink the apartment has scored a Dulux Colour Award in the “Single Residential Interior” category. 🏆 You can check out the other winners here.
I would kill for these floor-to-ceiling windows. 😍
