I found this astonishing place while randomly scrolling though my Instagram feed, and ever since I can’t get it out of my head.
An old farmhouse turned it into the absolute country-chic hotel, hidden within olive groves and surrounded by desert beaches. It is called Pensão Agrícola, and it’s in Tavira.
It was once owned by the Silva Gomes family, built in 1920 as a wedding present to the owners’ only daughter and it remained a working farm until 1970. After 40 years of neglect, the memories of those more prosperous times have been preserved and incorporated into the current architectural project by Atelier Rua.
Guests are encouraged to walk around the property. It’s perfect for forgetting everyday life.
The restaurant serves locally sourced food, organic soaps with olive oil and orange extract can be found in the bathrooms and if you’re in the mood for a little exploration they also rent Vespas and Alfa Romeo Spider. 😍
